If you are already in nursing school you should qualify to be a Nursing assistant. You might consider private duty in a Nursing home. There are obvious jobs such as housekeeping or even kitchen help.

Nurses are really awesome, so many of them sacrifice so much, just so that they can care for other people. In the box below is a website I uncovered with plenty of things about nursing – and plenty of extra jobs too.

Well…since you are on your way to becoming a health care provider I thinkyou can apply to become a part-time (or full-time if your schedule allows you) CNA (certified nurse assistant) at a local clinic, hospital or convalescent home. You’ll get a lot of experience. Some places do not require you to be licensed but you’ll be working under close supervision. Or you can work as a medical receptionist, or in-home-care provider (you choose the type of services you can provide like companionship (for an elderly person or disabled person), light housekeeping, provide and supervise medications etc. There are many things you can do …talk to your school counselor, they should be able to tell you where opennings are and what you can do.

Just do the few classes it takes to be a CNA first. It will help you respect your CNA’s when you do become a nurse. And usually if you go to a nursing facility they will even pay for the classes if you make a deal to work for them. It’s a really hard job, and while the pay is quite a bit higher than Pizza Hut, usually $10.50 in starting California positions, it’s nothing to what they should be paid. But if it’s in your heart to be a nurse then you’ll probably find you enjoy it more than you would another job. Good luck! My mom is a nurse and she is always telling me how they’re aren’t enough. Thank you for wanting to help people :)

I agree go for training to become a CNA. That will also give you the clinical experience you will need for when you become an RN. Also some schools require that you get your CNA certificate first.
